WHO we are?

Gary R. Olsen, Central Valley’s premium Power Engineer started the operations of EPS 48+ years ago with the central objective to provide safe designs to its customers that are easy to operate and maintain.

Our Team

The staff of EPS has an unmatched skill set and background with broad power systems engineering experience. The principal electrical engineers have 48+ years of experience in electrical construction and engineering including work as construction electricians. Experience includes 20 years of facility maintenance and engineering. This hands-on experience provides the expertise to ensure constructability, maintainability and lowest total cost of ownership.

OUR History

Gary R. Olsen, Central Valley’s premium Power Engineer started the operations of EPS 48+ years ago with the central objective to provide safe designs to its customers that are easy to operate and maintain. Moreover, the company aimed to offer its clients with ease by procuring and providing systems that last at least 30 years, while supporting future projects as well. 

  • 1972 – Gary R. Olsen started working for Frank Leino at McDougal & Leino
  • 1974 – Gary got his electrical professional engineering license from the State of California. Incorporated EPS in July, 1974.
  • 1987 EPS was and early adapter of using SKM for electrical system computer analysis.
  • 2000 Major Substation for Leprino Foods
  • 2001 – Joe Prevendar P.E. joined EPS
  • 2002 West Kern Water District Sunrise Power Project Water System
  • 2005 Cawelo I.D. Pump Station D,E,F
  • 2014 – Joe Prevendar and Theresa Hagans acquired ownership of EPS
  • 2015 Fresno County West Annex Jail Project
  • 2019 Major Substation for Dole Foods
  • 2021 Abdur Rehman joined EPS
  • 2022 Fresno Heart and Surgical Arc Flash Study
  • 2022 City of Fresno RWRF 10 MVA Substation
